Lekkerland specializes in on-the-go consumption and offers innovative services, tailor-made logistics, and a broadly-based wholesale product range. Their customers include service stations, kiosks, convenience stores, bakeries, food retailers, and quick-service restaurants.  

Serving around 85,800 sales points throughout 4 countries, they are part of REWE Group, one of Europe's leading trading and tourism groups.

Lekkerland - Netherlands was looking for a solution to overcome workplace challenges such as:


• Manually handling data and files concerning delivery deviations 

• A high workload due to many follow-up e-mails and evidence gathering 

• Handling unnecessary in- and external discussions


According to Paul, Logistics Engineer, if any problem occurred, it was often difficult to track down the original cause and efficiently handle the follow-up. “A coworker reported cargo claims at the operational site. However, they were followed up by someone else at the head office, who had less detailed knowledge of the inspection.”


Paul explains that internal and external discussions about deviations to the Lekkerland delivery requirements were time-consuming. It was challenging work proving to all parties involved that the products received did not comply with the agreed requirements.

"It's a handy tool that allows us to send reports in real-time without too much effort." 


Considering this scenario, Lekkerland realized that they needed a tool that could align their internal processes with their suppliers. “With Cargosnap, it's much easier to report and follow up.


Previously, we experienced a big workload streamlining the process. It could be quite a hassle back then. Now, the products' pictures speak for themselves,”
says Paul. 


With
Cargosnap, Lekkerland - Netherlands has implemented a standard process in every distribution center to report deviations from Operations to Head Quarters to Suppliers.


They have a clear view of goods by taking photos and using workflows that can be easily shared with co-workers and suppliers.

RESULTS


"The team has an overview of negative inspections on a certain date, time and with a unique reference number. This makes it even easier to follow up."


Lekkerland staff soon realized the value and advantages of having structured digital processes instead of manual spreadsheets.


The ease with which this new tool could be set up was the turning point for Lekkerland in the Netherlands to use Cargosnap in their daily operations since March 2021.

 

This new process has proven beneficial not only for Lekkerland but also for its customers and suppliers. Nowadays, deviations are handled and communicated efficiently with suppliers. This also creates a positive snowball effect on their customers, as they benefit from a smooth and streamlined logistics process. 


Logistics operations management has become much easier now. The team is working satisfactorily as Cargosnap has eliminated a great deal of rework and miscommunication.
"Once we realized how this tool could help us, we got excited about starting right away,” says Paul.
